HBCUs for New England Students
All six New England states are among the 31 states without an HBCU, limiting opportunities for students to discover these institutions through their schools and communities.
Closing the gap
Building Bridges Education brings HBCUs to New England every October during HBCU Week: the HBCU Roadshow in local high schools, the HBCU Summit at Harvard University, the HBCU Fair & Interview Day, and the HBCU Legacy Gala. In 2026, 3,118 students from 138 schools registered for the HBCU Fair & Interview Day, where 23 HBCUs met students in Boston.
